Item Summary:
The purpose of this first public forum is to receive input from the public on the public process itself for the Comprehensive Rezoning and Update. The Department of Planning, Housing, and Zoning is looking for input on how members of the public would like to give input and receive information from the County.
In June, a County webpage was launched that includes information on the rezoning process, a proposed schedule, and a Diagnostic Report by the consultant, Calfee Zoning, to launch the communication process.

In July, a public notice was included in tax bills to every property owner of record in Kent County. A form was included, so property owners could request a text change or a change in zoning to their properties.
On August 6, an advertisement of this public forum was published in the newspaper of record, Kent County News. A press release and social media release were also distributed to get the word out about the forum.
These methods can be supplemented by others, and an email list is being compiled to send email updates.
All members of the public are invited to offer how they would prefer to give and receive communications.
